Park Policies

Chaperone Policy:

Effective May 2, 2026, the Chaperone Policy will be reactivated at Six Flags St. Louis.

We are committed to keeping the park a place where families and friends come together to enjoy safe, one-of-a-kind experiences and immersive entertainment in a positive atmosphere. Therefore, we are reactivating our Chaperone Policy effective Saturday, May 2. Please read carefully as we have made some changes.

-All guests ages 16 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park.

-The policy will be in effect daily during all operating hours.

-The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.

-One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than six (6) guests ages 16 or younger per day.

-Guests ages 16 years old, or younger, who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.

-In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain in the park and be available by phone and in person for the duration of their stay.

-Guests 17 years of age or older should be prepared to present a valid government-issued photo identification (Driver’s license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guest may be denied entry into the park.

-This chaperone requirement applies to all Six Flags St. Louis ticket and season passholders.

 

Six Flags St. Louis Code of Conduct

Six Flags St. Louis is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us fulfill our commitment, we ask that you honor this Code of Conduct.

 

The following are not permitted at Six Flags St. Louis and may result in removal from the park without a refund.

  • Firearms, ammunition, knives, chains, and weapons of any kind. Self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray, mace).
  • Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines.
  • Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vapes, is not permitted inside the park. A designated smoking area is available outside of the Park. Six Flags prohibits smoking marijuana at any time, even in designated smoking areas.
  • Clothing with offensive language, obscene gestures/graphics, or nudity. Clothing that does not sufficiently cover undergarments. Face coverings that conceal identity.  (This policy does not apply to masks meant to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and other germs.) Family-oriented themed outfits/attire are permitted. Costumes that conceal identity are prohibited. Rides and attractions may also have additional restrictions on attire.
  • Unruly or disruptive behavior that interferes with guests’ enjoyment of the park including running, the incitement of running, and blocking midways and exits.
  • Acts or behavior that park management deems to be a safety concern or that interrupts park operations or guests’ experience.
  • Harassing/threatening behavior, sexual misconduct, or lewd behavior including inappropriate interaction with park guests or associates.
  • Fighting or physical aggression of any kind, including verbal assaults.
  • Offensive language or gestures.
  • Conduct deemed by Six Flags St. Louis to be inappropriate for the peace and good order of the park, guests, or associates, and which may adversely affect the safety of others.
  • Line jumping is strictly prohibited. Guests who choose to leave a line for any reason may not return to the same spot and must reenter at the end of the line. Guests are not permitted to save spots for other guests.
  • Theft of any kind.
  • Selling park tickets, credentials, and other entitlements, or soliciting and distributing literature not sponsored by the park except where otherwise approved.
  • Refusing to follow verbal or printed instructions or cooperate with park personnel or security.
  • Entering restricted areas including but not limited to attraction Danger Zones and behind-the-scenes areas. If you lose an item, report it to the Ride Attendant or Lost and Found.
  • Unsolicited photography or video recording that disrupts a guest’s experience or interferes with park operations. Filming, regardless of device, secured or unsecure, is prohibited on most rides and attractions.
  • Recreational devices, such as drones, remote controlled devices, laser pointers, scooters, skateboards and shoes with built-in wheels.
  • Six Flags prohibits the operation or use of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on, from, or above Six Flags’ premises absent specific written consent. This includes all UAVs, also commonly known as drones, regardless of their size, weight or purpose.
  • Selfie sticks, monopods and similar hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices.
  • Food, beverages, coolers and grills may not be brought into the park, and grilling of any kind is prohibited on Six Flags St. Louis property.
  • All bags brought into the park are subject to security screening by park personnel. A dedicated picnic area is available in the guest parking lot.
  • Loose articles (including mobile devices, keys hats, cameras, beverage containers, purses, backpacks) are not permitted in certain ride queue lines and are restricted on all rides and attractions. Guests may leave items in a locker or with a non-rider. Ride attendants are not responsible for articles left on any ride dock. Six Flags St. Louis and its Associates are not responsible for personal property that is lost, missing, or stolen. Items left unattended outside of the ride entrances will be considered abandoned and will be discarded.
  • Masks, full or partial face covering or anything that can be worn as a face covering, are not permitted in the park and must be removed for safety reasons. This includes, but is not limited to, hoods with front zippers, ski masks, balaclavas (shiesty masks), and neck gaiters. During Halloween Events, costumes are only permitted for children age 12 and younger. Costume makeup may not cover more than half the face.

Guests are encouraged to report any violations of the Guest Code of Conduct or suspicious activity to the nearest Six Flags St. Louis associate or Security associate.

All guests must present a valid one-day ticket, Season Pass, or Membership to enter the park. Guests who leave the park and plan to return must obtain a re-entry stamp before they leave. 

Notice: Six Flags St. Louis Public Safety personnel utilize surveillance cameras and body-worn cameras as part of their overall security program.

Six Flags St. Louis reserves the right to revise or modify this Code of Conduct with or without notice.

Dress Code – Theme Park

To ensure all guests visiting Six Flags St. Louis (the “Park”) can enjoy their visit, and in keeping with our family-friendly environment, as well as for health and safety reasons, Six Flags St. Louis maintains and enforces a dress code. Guests should dress casually and comfortably as is appropriate for the local weather. Park guests must wear proper attire, such as shirts, shorts/pants, and appropriate footwear, at all times.

Attire that is not appropriate for Six Flags St. Louis, and which may result in refusal of admission or removal from the Park, includes but is not limited to:

  • Clothing and tattoos with vulgar, offensive, or discriminatory symbols or language. This includes, without limitation, clothing and tattoos that display profanity, graphic violence, pornography, nudity, or that which is associated with gangs or drugs, and clothing that does not sufficiently cover undergarments.
  • Clothing and tattoos which may incite a disturbance or are hateful or discriminatory to others, or may be perceived as such.
  • Clothing that creates a safety risk to other guests and team members, including clothing that touches or drags on the ground.
  • Clothing which, by design, exposes excessive portions of skin or that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family-friendly environment.
  • Bathing suits are permitted to be worn only in the waterpark, but may be worn in the theme park if covered by otherwise appropriate attire. Please refer to the Hurricane Harbor Guest Dress Code for guidance about appropriate attire when visiting the waterpark.
  • Masks, full or partial face covering or anything that can be worn as a face covering, are not permitted in the park and must be removed for safety reasons. This includes, but is not limited to, hoods with front zippers, ski masks, balaclavas (shiesty masks), and neck gaiters.

Six Flags St. Louis reserves the right to deny admission to or remove anyone whose attire does not comply with the Guest Dress Code or could detract from the experience of other guests, if the guest refuses all reasonable options. Guests requiring special accommodations should speak to a member of the Public Safety management team upon arrival at Six Flags St. Louis

Dress Code – Hurricane Harbor

Appropriate swimwear is required. Thongs, transparent swimwear, denim, street clothing, or swimwear with metal components are not permitted.

Guests who are diaper-dependent must wear swim diapers. Footwear is recommended throughout the park.

Food Allergies

Guests with food allergies may bring limited food items for personal use only. This includes two sealable sandwich bags, one snack, and one small soft-sided cooler. No outside beverages are permitted.

Loose Articles

Loose articles are not permitted on rides. Guests should secure items in lockers or with non-riders. Six Flags is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is prohibited inside the park. Cannabis products are not permitted anywhere on property.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome and must remain under the handler’s control at all times.

Six Flags St. Louis reserves the right to revise or modify this Code of Conduct at any time without notice.
