SUMMARY:Low Sensory Sundays
DESCRIPTION:April 26\, May 3\, May 10\, May 17 \nFor the fourth year\, the park is recognizing Autism Awareness month with Low Sensory Sundays. On select Sundays in April and May\, the park will remain as quiet as possible for the entire day by eliminating all unnecessary sound such a music and other ambient noises. In addition\, we will also offer one-on-one character meet and greets in a low sensory setting. These days are designed to offer guests with sensory sensitives the opportunity to enjoy the park with fewer stimulants. \n\nThe park offers a Low Sensory Room daily\, where guests with special needs can relax and reset in a soothing environment. Additionally\, the park offers a Sensory Guide that rates each ride.\nGuests who require helpful accommodations should visit www.accessibilitycard.org to obtain an Accessibility Card prior to their visit.

At Music in the Parks\, students will have the opportunity to perform and be evaluated by experienced instrumental and vocal teachers\, gaining valuable feedback on their performance. \nMusic in the Park performances occur at local schools and churches. After the performances\, students can look forward to celebrating at an award ceremony held at Six Flags St. Louis.

Students will have the opportunity to explore math\, science\, and physics while riding and observing the mechanics behind our world-class coasters and thrilling attractions. At Physics Day\, we’ve got everything you need to inspire the next generation of scientists! \nGrab your spot before anyone else. Kick back\, relax\, and take credit for the best field trip ever! \nData Collection \nSeveral different smartphone apps may help in data collection and analysis while in the park. Suggested apps are Physics Toolbox by Vieyra Software\, and another is phyphox by TWTH Aachen University. \nPhysics Toolbox has a rollercoaster mode built in\, and phyphox can create an experiment by combining the altitude and accelerometer sensors. This will only work for phones that have a barometer. Some phones do not have this sensor. If using a smartphone\, it must be stored in a secure pocket for the entire duration of the ride. Your band or choral ensemble will have the chance to perform in front of esteemed adjudicators who will listen\, evaluate\, and provide feedback on your performance. \nFestival performances take place inside Six Flags St. Louis.
